FiND 3

Description

Day Centre for individuals with Autistic Spectrum Condition and associated learning disabilities. We provide opportunities to enhance the young person's social and communication skills to build positive relationships, confidence and self-esteem. The centre is designed to provide stimulating, enjoyable and rewarding activities throughout the day which are specially designed for each person.

Our service encourages every person to be as independent as possible by promoting positive and meaningful experiences based on a person-centred approach through choices, my plan, one page profiles and staff matching.
We provide a range of activities which are important to the young person within a safe, supportive and friendly environment indoors, outdoors and in the community, delivered by a highly trained and experienced staff team who are responsive to every individual's needs, circumstances and environment.

Within Find3 we have different activity rooms - an art room, a kitchen and laundry, a computer room, quiet areas and recreational areas for social activities. There is a fully-equipped disabled toilet on the ground floor and additional facilities on the first floor.

Staff training and experience

All staff undergo mandatory in-house training by FiND Charity. All new staff undergo an in-depth induction to the service and shadow an experienced staff member. All students undergo a person centred review and assessment. This allows us to put together a person centred profile (MyPlan). This plan is used to communicate key support requirements and individual choices with staff, allowing them to build a positive relationship with the student they are supporting. FiND Charity has a safeguarding and child protection policy in place.
