Description

Castaway's all-comers group stages musicals, pantomimes and Shakespeare performances. Working alongside professional directors, Castaway provides opportunities for people to sing, dance, act and also play in the show band. The group stages productions once or twice each year at Junction, Goole.

Arts Awards

Young people up to the age of 25 can work towards an Arts Award at all groups at Castaway Goole, helping to develop leadership, communication and creative skills. Find out more about the national Arts Award. Ask staff about how to sign up.

Castaway youth provision is accredited by East Riding through East Riding (Council for) Voluntary Youth Services (ERCVYS). Castaway Goole is a registered provider of day opportunities for East Riding and North Yorkshire adult services.

Staff training and experience

All staff receive regular training and updates for supporting young people with SEND. All leaders have teaching or leader training qualifications. Staff and volunteers are supported by experienced managers and receive specific support for communication and learning needs, multi-sensory approaches, safeguarding, health and safety and behaviour management.
