Special school clinical Nursing Service
Description
Development and update of school health care plans. Training and education of school staff who care for children with complex health needs. Advice and support to education staff.

Children assessed at home or within the school environment.


Access to this service
Referral via the Single Point of Access Team, self-referrals or professional referrals accepted.
How we communicate with children, young people with SEND and their families
Nursing staff use any communication aids available to them including electronic communication boards, pictures, some are skilled in Makaton.
Registered service and regulatory body
CHCP CIC is a registered service commissioned to deliver health care and the CQC is our regulatory body.
Training acquired to support children and young people with SEND and their families
Registered Nurses are qualified to care for children and young people with complex health needs and those with a learning disability.
