How we communicate with children, young people with SEND and their families
We ensure that appropriate length is given for appointments. Although we do not have dedicated staff who can use sign language we are able to book professionals who do sign if we are made aware of client needs prior to appointments. We are also able to liaise with other City Health Care Partnership services for SEND materials.
Registered service and regulatory body
The sexual health and reproductive service is part of City Healthcare Partnership (CIC) which is a community interest company offering NHS care for the local community within Hull and East Riding. We work as part of the NHS family in a similar way to G.P’s, dentists and pharmacies.
Training acquired to support children and young people with SEND and their families
Staff undertake safeguarding training and mental capacity act training. In addition staff work closely with those professionals that might be involved with client and families in order to ensure individual support.
Cost of service and payment options
The service is free to users.
